Good evening ladies and gentlefriends.
Welcome to the cocktail lounge where blackcurrent and lemonade is de-rigour unless your hard core when you can have it over ice  Evil or Very Mad
I've returned to the 21st century courtesy of BT allthough apparantly the old e-mail courtesy of tiscali is still the one to use for non public stuff.
Actually got access here last night and left a comment but it didnt survive the journey from here to space and back apparantly so i'll try again. You'll notice my spellings as bad as ever and I intend to not comment on it again. I know what I mean and if it makes no sense to you then make it up.Everyone's been very busy and it all looks impressive, it'll take a while to catch up and comment but i'll try over the comming weeks when I can get on here. Even though their's only 2 of us here now there is a queue which I allways seem to be at the back of resulting in late night meaningless posts. I've put this in a vacant topic section so it can be easily skipped if required as it has nothing to do (currently) with our most illustrious past time and hobby pursuits.
Went to the pub last night and was asked about sexing geese, a friend had a lonley gander who tried to mate with the greenhouse when he saw his own refection having recently been widowed. Theybrought a replacement partner but were unsure as to its gender swing. It was assumed that working with poultry = knowledge on all things feathered. Unfortunatly not the case, we buy in at P.O.L, job done. Anyway one chap commented on a goose herding crook he had just renovated and was hanging up in the hall. He went to get it and proudly showed it off around the bar with a carved sheep horn handle. This led Seymour to say he had some fine examples in the back of his van. I declined the offer to go and have a look which allowed me to enjoy an additional 2 pints of Oswestry's finest and partake in a shared feast of scratchings and scampi fries. The review outside went on for a good while and on their return still no one was able to sex a goose in any legal way....
Your pictures have inspired me along with Scotland, time to break the skin off the pots and buy a half decent brush again. I see Warlord are looking at expanding their plastics to cover the '45' that could be my next small scale money-pit. Anyone remember how to paint tartan  Question  Maybe someone will invent a tartan spray  Confused .
Anyway, good to be back see you all in the Crimea in a couple of weeks  Very Happy  Very Happy . Live long and prosper, Very Happy  Very Happy.

Hi-ya,
Think it's Battle Flag and they do both shields and barding for knights from Norman to Teutonic & 1oo years war too.I think the tartan as good as it looked was only for Napoleonic (Victrix figures specifically) units, i.e 40 of the same tartan per sheet with additional sheets for hat bands,'sock' tops, canteen and carry pack numbers (92nd etc) unfortunatly not a random mix of 'clan' tartans which didnt acctualy exist untill the victorians came along but you've got to have.Looked at old glory aswell who's figures I like and come in packs of 30 to get 2 well loaded Imputus bases per pack. They've got a never ending 6 for 5 deal too and cover specifics inc French Royal Ecosais and Irish Piquites each with command etc.
No cash and Derby on the horizan, some things never change.'Derby' for me now will be a 200 mile round trip so i'm unsure at the moment. Sad
.I think warlord are bringing out a plastics Jacobite box under their musket and tomahawk range at some point. So far failed to match the tartans you ( and I, too a much lower quality ) did 20 years ago( Shocked )  Sad .( Front Rank boys ) still cracking figures though  Smile .
I'll check 'under the bed' now. Very Happy
